How To Change Backlit Keyboard Color

So, I just bought an MSI-GE70, and I was wondering how to change the color of the keyboard's LEDs. I've tried searching on the Internet, but I can't find anything on it.

I let my friend play The Witcher 2 on my notebook (MSI Stealth GS63VR) a week back and was going to adjust the volume for him (FN+left/rigth arrow key) when suddenly my backlighting changed on my keyboard. I had a fixed color scheme and it will not change to what I had it before.

  1. Locate the keyboard backlight control keys across the top of the keyboard. Some laptops. Push or toggle the switch to change brightness. If you do not see.
  2. Re: How to change keyboard LED color on an MSI-GE70 « Reply #4 on: 30-December-13, 09:13:08 » I have that model, and to my knowledge it is an all blue keyboard lighting, with no option to change the color.

Even if I open up Dragon Center and do it there as normal, I am unable to change the lighting what so ever. Currently, it is 'locked' on a cycle of colors in a breathing pattern. The keyboard is functional and all, but I'm having difficulty figuring out as to why I can not change my keyboard color settings back to default. It truly does feel as if the lighting is locked to the current setting. Any ideas as to what to try would be accepted.

I have tried the past few days during my free time to see if it is a quick fix but oddly no luck. Nothing to major in ruining the user experience, but it is just too weird to not have 'power' over my keyboard lighting settings.

RGB backlights on keyboards allow you see the characters on the keyboard clearly in darkness while making keyboards look fancier. And is not just a RGB LED backlight keyboard; it is also a “PROGRAMMABLE” RGB LED backlight keyboard, meaning the backlight of the keyboard can be programmed. And since you can define the Red, Green and Blue of the lights, it means there are nearly unlimited amount of color options you can choose from. Today let’s find out how to make a beautiful backlight setting of your own. Install, and then restart the computer. Double click the eagle icon on the task bar to open the “Gaming Keyboard Option” window. Click the game mode you wish to edit (default game mode is Game Mode 1, which is bound to M1 key, and game mode 2 is M2 key) or choose the gaming profile that binds to the current game mode (default gaming profile is profile 1 or 2, depends on the game mode you choose).

Click “Choose Color” on the top left. Set the color sequence of each region of the keyboard. Click “OK” when you finish. To switch on or change color of a region, press FN + F9 / F10 / F11 / F12 on the keyboard depending on which region you are going to make the change. To switch to the color sequence of another game mode, press M1 or M2 on the keyboard.
