- My Blue Yeti Mic Won't Work - posted in External Hardware: Hello, first time posting. I have tried everything on the front and second page of google search, and nothing has worked for me.
Whtizup guyz! In this short Video let us learn how to get your Blue Yeti to start working again in a second.
You can confirm whether this entry is Blue Yeti microphone or not by simply disconnecting the microphone. If the entry disappears then it is confirmed. The Blue Yeti will not work on USB 3.0 ports. So, connect the Blue Yeti with a USB 2.0 and check if that works. Fix: Blue Yeti Not Recognized.
If you are getting errors like USB device not recognized along with the Yellow eXclamation in Device manager then this Video is meant for you! After successfully using the Blue Yeti for about 5 months, it started to disconnect even on slight movement of the mic & cable. Thereafter it completely stopped working. Then I started to blame everything I own, like my Windows 10 PC, the drivers & the Mic itself but never the cable! On trying out several methods, like to uninstall the driver and restart the computer, so that Windowz reinstalls the driver, unplugging & plugging it back from either side of the cable, nothing really worked! The Red light used to come on as usual but my PC couldn’t recognize it So, the trick was to change the cable which had obviously gone bad pretty quickly over time!

Not a single Video on YouTube suggested to change cables! I had read earlier that the supplied cable isn't particularly of good Quality. So, as soon as I changed it, things went back to normal as though nothing had happened! You don’t have to buy an eXpensive cable for it to work, any USB to Mini-USB cable will do.
Or any old data cable of your PS3 PlayStation controller or PSP will also work fine! Thtz it for now.

Blue Yeti Not Recognized Windows 10
Here's the issue with that though my computer for some reason stays on even after I turn it off which means all cords connecting to is still receive power so the blue yeti would stay on constantly if I kept it plugged in so all I basically do is keep one end in the computer and the other end out of the blue yeti then carefully plug it in in the morning so it's not constantly running I mean I do turn my equipment off when i'm going to sleep but still that's like a extra 4 hours of technical 'use' that's just sitting thereDOUBLEPOST=,/DOUBLEPOST. Sounds about right I got it for Christmas too to start recording but at this point it's been used for like 2+ months and I can't return it and It actually come at a worse time then this so I don't really have time to wait for a new cord xD nor do I have the money for it haha it's in perfect condition so might swap;P but the common sense is EXACTLY that let them buy our product and later down the road make them pay more by having to either buy a new yeti if they don't know whats wrong with it OR buy a new usb cord for it.
